Nationals A

NATIONAL "A" MEN AND WOMEN - CBHA CHAMPIONSHIPS


In 1978 the first National Championship was held for men and became known as Nationals A followed by Women's A in 1987 hosted in Calgary. In 1990 the first Regional Championship for Division B was held, followed by Division C in 2007 and finally Division D in 2013. The first Women's Division B tournament was held in 2012. In 2015 the Regional Championship was renamed Nationals B, C, D as we know it today.

How does a team qualify from Alberta

To qualify a team must compete in the previous season Alberta Provincial Championships and earn the right to represent by winning a gold or silver medal.
